2009 Season - Week 3

BUMS Players Hall of Fame

Seven BUMS present on Sunday edited down the shortlist of 2009 Hall of Fame nominees from an initial list of 20 to the 11 you can vote for. Since 2002 we’ve inducted 31 players. And now it’s time to put 4 more players into the Marbled Halls based on 3 criteria; scoring, impact and enjoyment provided.. Attached are the 11 men who have been chosen for nomination. Select your favourite 5 players (in order) and get them back to me by Sunday October 18th , which is Trading Day 1. The 4 highest scorers will join the selected band of BUMS Hall of Fame players that includes Tony Dungy, Adam Vinatieri, Peyton Manning, LaDainian Tomlinson and Randy Moss. Now That’s What I Call BUMS Music During the draft there was much discussion about music in the BUMS including nicknames for players (Jason ‘Mmm Bop’ Hanson etc) and on Sunday we decided to release a Double CD featuring one song per NFL Franchise. The name of each NFL city/state must be in the title. We started well with 3 choices for Buffalo (Buffalo Soldier – Bob Marley, Buffalo Stance – Neneh Cherry and Buffalo Girls - Malcolm McLaren) but the problem is we’ve only got 16 songs (see attached) so we need your help. Artists do not count so songs by Whitney Houston, John Denver & 1970’s AOR balladeers Chicago are out. This also makes H’s shout for Green Bay ineligible. He doesn’t know of any song with Green Bay in the title so suggested any song by Green Day! Nice effort but unacceptable. Email me missing teams or better songs. Week 2 was a big one Congratulations to everyone for a big total last week. Led by And H’s Hall of Fame 53 point performance all 16 BUMS put up a combined 474 points in week 2, the 15th highest total ever in BUMS history and highest since we put up 484 in week 14 of 2007. The best ever score of a massive 521 points was set in week 11 of 2005. Westmorland Wolverines Wedding Bells This Saturday Mark is marrying Eleanor Chapman. We wish them all the very best.
